My name is Andrew Lewis. I am a software developer working in London. I recently finished writing up my PhD thesis, working at the Cambridge University Computer Laboratory. My thesis title is: Reconstructing compressed photo and video data.
My main interests in computing include
- video and image compression;
- video and image tampering detection and characterisation (forensics);
- digital signal processing and image processing;
- computer security (I used to run a security seminar series);
- free software and intellectual property;
- programming languages and algorithms; and
- graphics, design for usability and typography.
