I am able to do small amounts of consulting work. My main areas of expertise are
- compressed photo and video data recovery, especially H.264/AVC baseline profile bitstream detection and recovery;
- digital video compression for real-time and live media streaming;
- forensic signal analysis on digital images/video (tampering detection and source identification);
- image/video compression algorithms; and
- computer security and digital rights management.
During my PhD, I advised the Metropolitan Police Service and other law-enforcement agencies, several private investigators and journalists on image/video forensics and recovery.
In 2011 I acted as an expert witness in a court case involving digital media streaming.
